Our plan for the Middle East part of our journey began to fall apart when riots kicked off in Egypt and the civil war in Syria grew. We therefore decided to postpone our planned overland journey from Turkey, through Syria to Jordan and Egypt to another time, instead we lengthened our stay in Europe.
To still get a taste of the Middle East, we island hopped our way from Greece to Turkey, entering the country in the south west, where we will spend two and a half weeks lapping up the culture. Click into the Turkey page below for details:
